The wine has a deep purple colour which leads to aromas of blackberries, mixed herbs, and a hint of liquorice on the nose. The firm, yet elegant tannins support the dark fruit that follows through on the pallet.
Tasting Notes: Ripe raspberry and pimiento concentration with aromatic hints of aniseed,
blackberry, mulberry and roasted coffee.
Selective Syrah grapes are hand-sorted and fermented in 5000L French oak barrels, 10% ferments whole bunch to allow a fine extraction of tannins. Racked to barrel to age for a further 10 months. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.
