Terms and Conditions
Please read these product terms and conditions carefully as they affect your rights and liabilities under the law and set out the terms under which thesavanna.co.uk makes the products available to you the customer.
GENERAL
These Product Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and any disputes will be decided only by the English courts.
If any of these Product Terms is held by any court of competent authority to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, in whole or in part, this will not affect the validity of the remaining Product Terms which will continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.

PRODUCT AVAILABILITY
If for any reason beyond our control, we are unable to supply a particular product, we will notify you as soon as possible as to when we are able to send the product. Before checkout and dispatch to customer we at The Savanna will notify you the customer by emil or phone call, of any shortages as this will affect the total bill. In addition, we at The Savanna will hopefully be able to recommend a substitute product.
PRODUCT USE BY DATES
please note, some items are advertised with the best bier dates next to the title of the product. this means the product is close to reach the sell by date or has reached that date. items without the date is then months away from reaching the sell by date. by law we are allowed to sell products that have passed the sell by date as the product is still safe to eat. products with a use by date needs to be destroyed once past that date.
PRODUCT PRICES
Please note that prices may differ in any of our London-based stores to those reflected on this website. The prices payable for the products that you order are clearly set out in the website. If, by mistake, we have under-priced an item, we will not be liable to supply that item to you at the stated price, provided that we notify you before we dispatch the item concerned. All prices are expressed inclusive of any VAT payable unless otherwise stated. The price of the items does not include the delivery charge which will be included on the final page. A weight scale system is in place for two reasons. Firstly, for the customer to view total weight of basket before deciding to proceed with the order. Secondly, it enables The Savanna to suggest the best delivery option. The delivery option selected will be added to your final bill, inclusive of VAT.
DELIVERY
Delivery will be made to the address specified by the customer on the completed order form. This can be your home address or work address.
Delivery will be made between Monday and Saturday. Please note the special conditions for orders containing fresh meats toward the end of this section.
We do our best to secure delivery within the time specified but shall not be liable for loss occasioned by delay in delivery arising out of any cause beyond our control. Should you wish to track your product please contact us at media@thesavanna.co.uk and we will investigate on your behalf and reply by email asap.
If for any reason beyond our reasonable control, we are unable to supply a particular product, we will notify you as soon as possible.
Please keep in mind that The Savanna usually deliver locally or nation-wide within 2-3 working days subject to weather conditions, although around bank holidays, leave a few more days for us to get to you.
Orders containing fresh meat ( boerewors, steaks, chicken, ribs ) are packed and dispatched from Monday to friday. Orders not containing fresh meat are dispatched Monday to Saturday. Estimated delivery times are from dispatch date and not from order date. ( 2 working days for orders with fresh meat and 2-4 days for orders without fresh meat. For more details about our carrier, Parcel Force, please click on https://www.parcelforce.com/service-updates. please note Parcel force cannot guarantee delivery times while the country is on lockdown.
All goods must be signed for on delivery by an adult aged 18 years or over. If no one of that age is at the address when the delivery is attempted the goods may be retained by the driver, in which case the driver will leave notification of attempted delivery and will telephone to rearrange or will return later that day. In these circumstances, if we have to return to deliver the goods, a further delivery charge may become payable.
Please have orders containing any meat placed before 2pm Friday, as if placed later than this the order may only be delivered the following week.
DELIVERY COSTS
Break down of shipping costs:

ACCEPTANCE
There will be no contract of any kind between you the customer and us at The Savanna unless and until the customer is charged and the goods dispatched. At any point up until dispatched, we may decline to supply the goods to you without giving any reason.
We cannot sell alcoholic products to anyone under 18. For this reason, we may refuse an order at our discretion and orders may not be transferred from the customer to any other person.
INTERNATIONAL EXCLUDED GOODS
Goods such as fresh meat, Deli foods and cases of alcohol cannot be sent by our normal international services. In the case of alcohol a limit has been placed on two bottles, regardless of type of alcohol. With regards to packaged meats such as biltong and droewors, The Savanna are allowed to send small vacuum –packed parcels so long as it is for personal consumption and not for resell purposes. We cannot send any fresh meats nor fresh cakes. If you the customer are unsure of any international order, it is best to e-mail us your order at the media@thesavanna.co.uk - as it helps us to find the best courier option and it is not always possible to send outside the UK.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Please e-mail media@thesavanna.co.uk- to cancel. Please note refunds/cancellations are at the discretion of the Directors of The Savanna. In the event of a refund being given, The Savanna may still need to charge for the delivery/return of delivery if you have not given notice within 24hours of ordering. Again this will be left up to the discretion of the Directors at The Savanna.
In the event of any damage to orders, please submit photographic evidence of all damage as compensation, if granted at the discretion of the Directors at The Savanna, will only be given for the items for which this has been provided.
PAYMENT
You can pay by any Mastercard or Visa credit card, Apple pay, Switch or Delta debit card. Your credit/debit card details will be encrypted to minimise the possibility of unauthorised access or disclosure. Authority for payment must be given at the time of order.
You will be charged for your order prior to it being dispatched. If your order is dispatched in more than one delivery, payment for each product will be taken from your credit/debit card at that point prior to dispatched.
Our liability to you in connection with any order will not exceed the total price charged for the relevant items together with VAT (if applicable) and the delivery charge (selected at your discretion). The Savanna works closely with a high-regarded Internet company called Shopify, who are responsible for accepting customer payments. When you the customer shops with The Savanna (who uses PayPoint) you can be assured that your card details are securely encrypted during transport over the Internet so no one can read your card information. The card details are only transported to the Bank to authorise your purchase. In addition, Shopify guarantees the following will never happen:
- Pass on your financial details
- Pass on any personal information gathered when you place an order,
- Sell or rent your details, you will never receive junk mail as a result of using Shopify,
- Leave invasive technologies such as cookies on your machine,
- Exploit your details in any way
