We therefore cannot guarantee a specific size or weight for the gem squash in your order. All gem squash are harvested fresh in England and sent to us on a weekly basis. Our farmer, Hugh, use South African Gem Squash seeds.

Gem Squash, stringy
Sad to say the 4 gem squash were so stringy that I gagged on rough strings stuck in my throat. Very unpleasant. I took pictures. Skins/shells were orangey, which to me says they were old. Someone else who sells gems in UK tried to say it was due to our heat wave in UK. We have hotter weather in Southern Africa. Non solid dark green gems are old.
