Meerlust Rubicon is a Bordeaux blend that was made to mirror the great wines of France. At the time it was a new style of wine to South Africa and was heralded as a turning point in South African winemaking. It has a very classic Rubicon nose with violets, ripe plum, cedar wood and intense spiciness. On the palate it features lots of black fruit and structured round tannins.
